More Evidence and Updates on The Great Stone,

At Mount Nebo

The Garden Tomb and the Great Stone | Where is the Tomb of Jesus Christ

An interesting article was written about the Great Stone at Mount Nebo, on a website of:

8th US/ICOMOS International Symposium:Heritage InterpretationCharleston, South Carolina, May 5-8, 2005.

Observation: Large and interesting archeological artifacts such as Romanmilestones and a large circular tomb “door” have been saved from loss in theiroriginal locations off-site and placed in the grounds of the memorial of Moses. Just what they are, where the came from and why they are there is not, in everycase, immediately clear to the visitor

How interesting, they say it is a  tomb “door”. But they don't know what tomb it comes from.

And they don't realise the stone only fits one tomb in the world. The Garden Tomb.

Special thanks to Kimberly Ballard, for her research on the above.

Was the Great Stone taken to mount Nebo in the first place to be erected on the site, not where Moses was buried, but where Moses died.
This would make perfect sense to why the Byzantines moved this stone from the Tomb in the garden. This could be the connection.

In the very old village next to the present Mount Nebo, Monastery. Where the stone was found in the beginning, there could possibly be some kind of markings where Moses died. You see many places in the bible were preserved and God made it clear, Moses body will remain hidden, But God did not say Moses place of death would not be known.

Moses to Die on Mount Nebo

48 That very day the LORD spoke to Moses, 49 “Go up this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, opposite Jericho, and view the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel for a possession. 50 And die on the mountain which you go up, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died in Mount Hor and was gathered to his people, 51 because you broke faith with me in the midst of the people of Israel at the waters of Meribah-kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin, and because you did not treat me as holy in the midst of the people of Israel. 52 For you shall see the land before you, but you shall not go there, into the land that I am giving to the people of Israel.” Deuteronomy 32:48.52.

The Death of Moses

1Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land, Gilead as far as Dan, all Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the western sea, the Negeb, and the Plain, that is, the Valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar. And the LORD said to him, “This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.” So Moses the servant of the LORDdied there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD, and he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth-peor; but no one knows the place of his burial to this day. Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eye was undimmed, and his vigor unabated. And the people of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. Then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended. Deuteronomy 34:1 to 8.

And this would be the perfect connection with the stone from the tomb of Jesus, with Mount Nebo, and the bible prophesy, And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, John 3:14
